Technological measures required in deep hole drilling

During deep hole drilling, the following process measures can be taken according to specific processing requirements:

(1) Before drilling, pre drill a shallow hole with the same diameter as the drill, which can guide and center the drilling. This step is necessary when machining small holes with high straightness requirements;

(2) When installing and debugging the machine tool, ensure that the central axis of the workpiece hole coincides with the central axis of the drill pipe as much as possible;

(3) The cutting parameters shall be reasonably selected according to the workpiece material to control the chip curl degree and obtain C-shaped chips that are conducive to chip removal. When machining high-strength workpiece, the cutting speed V shall be appropriately reduced. The feed rate has a great impact on the chip formation. On the premise of ensuring chip breaking, a smaller feed rate can be used;

(4) In order to ensure chip removal and cooling effect, cutting fluid shall maintain appropriate pressure and flow rate. When machining small diameter deep holes, high pressure and small flow rate can be used, and when machining large diameter deep holes, low pressure and large flow rate can be used;

(5) At the beginning of drilling, the cutting fluid pump shall be turned on first, then the lathe shall be started for cutting. When the drilling is finished or a failure occurs, the multi-functional deep hole drilling machine shall quote, and the cutting fluid pump shall be turned off after stopping the cutting.
